Amid rampant rumors of the specs and release date for Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 5 and iPad Mini, it’s easy to forget about Apple’s other best-selling handheld device, the iPod. According the Macotakara, Apple is likely to keep selling the iPod Touch, regardless of whether or not the iPad Mini is released and that the new model is likely to feature aluminum backing (much like the iPad), and will possibly see a screen size increase from 3.5 to 4 inches, to go alongside the new size specs for the new model of the iPhone.
“iPod Touch is going to receive specs bump with A5 chip instead of A4 chip. Also the back cover will be changed to resemble like the iPad. The iPod Touch comes with chrome back which attracts finger marks easily, but the new back cover will have aluminum finish which will give the device an elegant look.” — read more here.
